Charging¶
Charge SmartBroom 4 using its USB-C port and a standard USB power supply. The app also shows the battery percentage on the connected-broom screen.
Read the charging light¶
The dedicated battery LED is beside the USB port. While connected to power, it gently breathes to show charging progress:
| Battery level | Battery LED |
|---|---|
| Below 20% | Breathing red |
| 20–80% | Breathing orange |
| Above 80%, still charging | Breathing green |
| Fully charged | Solid green |
Check before sweeping¶
When switched on without USB power, the battery LED briefly shows the charge level: green at 50% or above, orange at 20–49%, and red below 20%.
Below 5%, it flashes red continuously. Recharge before collecting more data.
The two system-state LEDs beside the load bar show connection and recording state separately. See LED Indication and Background Recording to check that the broom is ready to record.
