Charging

Connect LightBroom’s USB-C port to a USB power supply. The broom’s lights display a six-segment battery bar when USB power is connected and briefly after startup.

Read the battery bar

More filled segments mean more charge. Unfilled segments are dim white.

Display Meaning
Red filled segments Battery is below full charge.
Pulsing last filled segment Battery is charging.
All six segments green Battery has reached 100%.
First segment flashing red Battery is at 5% or below; recharge.

The bar animates as it appears; let the fill animation finish before reading the level.

Return to the lights while plugged in

While the broom is awake, a short button press dismisses the battery bar and returns to normal lighting. Disconnect USB power for at least a second and reconnect it to show the bar again.

Charging with the broom off

The battery bar can remain visible while the broom is switched off and connected to USB power. This is expected charging behaviour.

When the broom is off, the display goes dark after the battery has remained at 100% for 30 minutes. Press the button to wake the broom.
